Bio

Leo has been a fundraiser for 43 years, helping to raise millions of dollars for various causes across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia region. His extensive career included strategic planning, implementing direct marketing programs, major donor development, bequest programs, monthly giving programs, fundraising audits, and the development and training of fundraisers.

Now retired, Leo previously served as Senior Strategist at Precision Fundraising, Partner at Robejohn, and Head of Direct Marketing at World Vision Australia. He also held the role of Marketing Director at World Vision Thailand.

Leo is a Fellow of Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) and has been a dedicated member for over 35 years. He is a past Chairman of the FIA Board, twice President of FIA Victoria, and a former member of the CFRE Board, where he also chaired the CFRE Exam Committee.

In 2013, Leo was named the Arthur Venn Fundraiser of the Year, a prestigious national award given by FIA to recognize individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to fundraising in Australia.
